How do I record the vinyl and parts used on a job?

Open the job, click Materials, pick the roll or part from the price book and type how much went on. The crew never sees a cost; the office can add a custom line with its cost. The job's Cost tab switches from the quoted materials to what was logged.

Screenshot: Log the film and parts a job used

This screenshot is generated from the live interface and updates whenever the screen changes. Links in this article open the product in a new tab.

Step by step

  1. 1Open the job and click Materials.
  2. 2Pick the item from the price book, or type a custom line (the office adds its cost).
  3. 3Enter the quantity and log it. A wrong line can be removed the same day by whoever logged it, any time by the office; it is logged again rather than edited.
